FAITHFUL VOICES

Statewide Conference on Marriage Equality

Date:      Thursday, November 19

Time: 8:30 - 9:30 am Registration and gathering

9:30 am - 4 pm Conference

Location: First Christian Church, 2500 University Avenue, Des Moines

Who should attend:

Clergy from across Iowa; lay congregational leaders; LGBT and ally activists; judicatory and faith organization staff. People of faith fully supportive of marriage equality and those still seeking to understand.

Registration:

• Registration Fee: $10, if registration and payment received by November 6 ($15 after Nov. 6). All proceeds to benefit the work of Faithful Voices.

Hotel Info:

Rooms are available at the Holiday Inn Express, 1140 24th Street in Des Moines, for Wednesday and Thursday nights at the special room rate of $64 (plus tax; includes breakfast; 2 queen beds).  The hotel is across a parking lot from the church.   You may call the Holiday Inn Express directly at (515)255-4000 to make your reservation. Ask for one of the rooms held for Interfaith Alliance of Iowa.  The block of rooms will be held until November 6.

Round Table Participants:

Faith leaders from across Iowa with a range of perspectives on marriage equality.

Evening Event open to the public and free of charge.  Invite friends to attend with you!
